About Our Service
Devon Subsidence is a lead generation and referral service. We connect property owners in Devon with specialist subsidence contractors, structural engineers, drainage surveyors, and other building professionals. We do not carry out any construction, repair, surveying, or engineering work ourselves.
By using our website and services, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting any enquiry through our website. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
Our Role
Our role is limited to introducing you to specialist contractors from our vetted network. We carefully select and monitor our network partners, but we are not a party to any contract between you and the specialist contractor. Any agreement for inspection, assessment, repair, or other work is made directly between you and the contractor.
We do not supervise, manage, or direct the work carried out by any contractor in our network. While we provide ongoing quality assurance by gathering customer feedback and reviewing completed work, the contractor is independently responsible for the quality, safety, and compliance of their work.
We do not set prices for any work carried out by contractors in our network. All quotations, pricing, and payment terms are agreed directly between you and the contractor. We recommend obtaining written quotations before any work begins and keeping copies of all correspondence and agreements.
No Guarantee of Results
While we carefully vet our network of specialists for experience, insurance, and quality standards, we cannot guarantee the outcome of any work carried out by third-party contractors. Building and structural repair work is inherently variable and depends on factors including ground conditions, weather, access, and the specific characteristics of your property.
We strongly recommend that you satisfy yourself of the contractor's suitability before engaging them. This may include verifying their insurance cover, checking references, and ensuring they provide written guarantees for their work. If you experience any issues with a contractor recommended through our service, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
No Accreditation Claims
Devon Subsidence does not hold trade accreditations, construction industry certifications, or professional body memberships. We are a referral service that introduces property owners to appropriately qualified specialists. Individual contractors within our network may hold relevant accreditations and certifications — these should be verified directly with the contractor before engaging their services.
We do not claim to provide professional advice on structural engineering, surveying, construction, or any other regulated profession. The information on this website is for general guidance only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice from a qualified practitioner.

Every property is unique, and subsidence problems can have many different causes and solutions. The information on this website describes common scenarios and general approaches, but your specific situation may require a different approach. Liability
Devon Subsidence accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising directly or indirectly from work carried out by third-party contractors, even where those contractors were introduced through our service. Our liability is limited to the referral service itself.
We do not accept liability for any inaccuracies in the information provided on this website, any decisions made based on the content of this website, any delay in connecting you with a suitable specialist, or the availability or suitability of any contractor within our network for your specific requirements.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
